"Prayer is the electricity that powers every ministry in the church"
We invite you to join us for 31 days of continuous prayer each month.
The Church of Christ functions as a spiritual entity. It is through the power of prayer we will accomplish what God designed His church to achieve. Without prayer the church will fail. Prayer is not another program added to the church. Prayer is the fuel that powers all the programs of the church. The church is built up when members constantly and fervently pray. It is not enough to only give financially and physically to the work of the church; the church needs your prayers as well. The work of the church is a spiritual battle and needs spiritual weapons to fight this battle. Paul says in Ephesians 6:12, “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.” When we are praying regularly for our church it increases the chance for unity, forgiveness, love, caring, boldness and involvement.
Prayer is the supper glue that binds the people of God together and builds an irresistible church and the wattage that makes the church shine brighter in the community. It is the spiritual helium that causes the church to soar higher and higher. Prayer requires discipline and passion. We are called to be people of prayer. God has given us access to His throne through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. He has promised that He will respond to the prayers of His people. “The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and wonderful results” James 5:16b. It is important that we understand that prayer is more than asking God for something; it’s the avenue to pursue a relationship with Him. Jeremiah 29:12,13 says, “Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.” Through prayer, we experience intimacy, relationship, transformation and renewal with God who loves us deeply.
God wants His church to be a praying church and this is my desire for Baptist Center Church. We can only be a praying church through the practice of prayer. I want to encourage you to use this guide to pray daily for our church. Pray for one request daily each month. The best contribution you can make to your church is a commitment to prayer. Please print the guide and keep it with you.

Day 2. Pray that God will save many people through our church. Pray that we will have an increased desire to share the gospel with unbelievers.
Day 3. Pray that our Pastor, Deacons and all members become more surrendered and poured out to Christ, so that we can experience spiritual growth by seeking the fear of God and the mind of Christ and the Spirit's leading.
Day 4. Pray that we become authentic Disciples of Christ who are learning, growing and bearing fruit and in turn making more disciples.
Day 5. Pray that we will be characterized by fervent love for God,
genuine love for the each other, oneness in spirit, and a bold holy testimony in the Community.
Day 6. Pray that God will bring in more musicians to our church to enhance His worship service.
Day 7. Pray for the willingness to confess our sins before God as a church and to repent of any wrong doings, false dependencies, misplaced ideas and loss of spiritual passion.

Day 21. Pray that our church family will give Christ authentic adoration, praise, impassioned worship and glory in private and collectively as a Church; that worship never to be a show, entertainment or talent focused, rather, that God be the audience to our praise.
Day 22. Pray that our Church and Pastor take accountability seriously and each be protected and have people to whom they are accountable. Also, that each member would cultivate and pursue healthy relationships.

Day 27. Pray that our church will be a spiritual magnet drawing unbelievers through our doors.
Day 28. Pray that our church will become a House of Prayer for the glory of God.
Day 29. Pray that Unity infuses our church so that our congregation becomes bound to Christ in love, so the work of the Kingdom is promoted.
Day 30. Pray that God will call out missionaries from our church to serve Him on the mission field.
Day 31. Pray for a renewed commitment to obedience and to the authority of Scripture and the Lordship of Christ. Pray for a deep heart burden for the Lost and for a spirit of prayer.
